My Studio Space

My studio has evolved over the past 10 years.  Once an aqua color, then a small sunroom space, and now a two-room area.  When we moved into our (new to us) log home 3 years ago, we built our master bedroom on the main floor, thus I was able to claim the original master bedroom on the second floor.  This room also has a small sunroom off of the glass slider door that overlooks the whole valley.  I am lucky to sit at a desk that offers beautiful views of the tall cedars and vast green space here on top of our mountain.

Sometimes working with a view is distracting, so I will move to my other work space in the large area (above). I have tried to keep my space with only the things I use for my craft, but sometimes things creep into my studio merely because they are beautiful and bring me joy.

I am a visual person, so everything has to look aesthetically appealing to my eyes.  Thus, there is beauty mixed with all the supplies I use.  Like this bookshelf (below) with all the glass jars filled with many trinkets, beads and whatever else I might need for a project.

I found this old doctor’s cabinet many years ago for a steal price and it has many of my treasures inside.

I like to collect other artists’ work as well to support them and to make me happy. I love when a piece “speaks” to me and fills my heart with joy.

Thank you for coming along on my studio tour. I’m sure it will evolve more in the next coming years!
